You are absolutely right. Online classes are fine for people who just want credits, and not to mention no actual skills to offer their employer. If you actually enjoy learning, you pay out the ass, or have to choose between working in the present and investing in your future. The system of state run schools is so corrupt, that bad is the new good. My only hope for changing anything is to run for governor. It would be hard getting all of the pea brains on facebook to believe in a cause that not only benefits themselves, but everybody. Did I wake up in the twilight zone? Or am I meant to live in a time where people cared whether they lived or died. Or a time where the truth wasn't high jacked by the people in power, but available to all as it should

I know that when you had the Palsy I was jsut really starting to get to know you. I was impressed that you even went to school while that was going on. I am glad that you did so well. You sure personify the ODAT concept in every area of your life. You are a wonderful strong and motivated woman.

Hey this was a wonderful piece and very interesting. It is obvious to me that you will do great stuff in the coming months in this new venue you have chosen. I like the analysis at the end of the paper too. It was very unique and insightful. Keep it up you have wonderful writing skills.

I'm so proud of you in your massive efforts to deal with your studies, especially when you had the Bells Palsy! You gave it your all. And as for the Reike, I'm glad I was able to contribute something to relieving your pain.

Wow, thats pretty deep Dad & Racquel;
I am Racquels older sister and a RN.Dad I absolutely love your comment to Racquel's beautifully written article , I always knew I sat back and saw people in the same way Dad, as you,now I see where my thoughts have evolved from. Thanks Dad for helping make me the person I am today.To watch Racquel evolve into the beautiful, spiritual , grounded ,about to be RN .In regards to you Racquel, at first I talked about Racquel's alterior lifestyle to my other gay and Lesbian friends, they help me sort out my feelings, cause I needed to help guide her in a loving way when you came my way, the same as Dad did me. As for mom , Racquel, you must keep in mind a as Dr .Karen Weinstein said about mom, is that "Ila, I believe that your mom has a softer side to herself, she just doesn't let to many people see it", After all , she did find Dad, and thank "GOD" Dad (lol) that she did. Love you both, Ila Hope Rubens,R.N.

Completely agreed...I just finished my third online class and how terribly frustrating! No feedback on assignments and I have taken 4 tests online, 2 of them I scored much lower than expected, I knew the material. So, I went through the test, question by question and a software glitch resulted in 4 of my chosen answers being changed during submission and 2 others were marked as wrong when they were the correct answers. So, I talk with the instructor, after waiting awhile to hear back and she admits that the modules have some inaccurate info, well, duh! Shouldn't the instructor check the module before posting it? I mean, these grades do matter, right?!

I can't stand online classes. Yes, they are convenient, but they stink!

I am in the middle of taking two online master classes that I wish I hadn't felt the need to take. Instruction is as you said non existent. You simply feel your own way around and hope you're getting it right. At least in a traditional classroom you get a feel for what it is you are expected to do. Online classes are so much more work on top of it. Between both classes I have had to make a minimum of 6-12 posts and 2 short papers a week on top of my final papers and projects. It's been an isolating experience as I interact with nobody unless they respond to one of my posts and the work load cuts into my social life. Of course I work too.

hi,
I am a college student writing a paper on compulsory heterosexuality and exploring topics of depression and the media's influence. Thank you for your post, I will be quoting and citing you in my paper. I am glad to see others have gone through what I have and made it to the other side.
Thanks.

Great comment, dad! Your insight is much appreciated! I, for one, appreciate that you have instilled in me an open mind and a desire to see people for who they are and not what they are. Thanks for the "normal" vote. :)
